Emmi Hihnala is an artist, documentary and fine art photographer born and raised in Finland. Her work focuses strongly on the female gaze, capturing human experiences from different walks of life. Her aim is to capture whomever she is photographing with grace and intimacy. 

After finishing her BA in Fashion Photography from London College of Fashion in 2020 with a 1:1, she moved towards her passion in documentary photography and began a MA in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography in London College of Communication, which she finished in December 2021. 

She is currently based in London & Helsinki.
